ABSTRACT
Blood-brain barrier (BBB) damage is closely related to morbidity and mortality in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Inhibition of VEGF effectively protects BBB integrity clinical ischemic stroke. Protecting integrity, reducing edema alleviating post-TBI secondary are key a favorable patient prognosis. MMP-9 affects by destroying the tight junction vascular endothelial cells inhibiting transport enzymatic systems. The present study aimed examine possible interplay between TBI. A TBI model was established 87 male Sprague-Dawley rats. Reverse transcription-quantitative PCR, western blotting, wet-dry assessment, TUNEL Fluoro-Jade C staining were performed analyze tissue samples results showed that compared Sham group rats, mRNA protein expression levels increased at 24 h post-TBI. After bevacizumab treatment, permeability nerve cell apoptosis markedly reduced. In conclusion, revealed potential role for TBI-associated upregulation disruption
