ABSTRACT
Acute pancreatitis (AP)‑associated lung injury (ALI) is a critical complication of AP. Adropin regulatory protein immune metabolism. The present study aimed to explore the immunomodulatory effects adropin on AP‑ALI. For this purpose, serum samples patients with AP were collected and expression levels detected using ELISA. Animal models knockout (Adro‑KO) constructed, in tissues was investigated. fibrosis apoptosis evaluated hematoxylin eosin staining, Masson's staining immunohistochemistry tissue. M1/M2 type macrophages lungs immunofluorescence western blot analysis reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR. As shown by results, decreased In Adro‑KO + L‑arginine (L‑Arg) group, macrophage infiltration, increased. peroxisome proliferator‑ activated receptor γ (PPARγ) downregulated, exhibited trend towards M1 polarization L‑Arg group. exogenous supplement attenuated model also increased PPARγ regulation phosphorylation levels, which associated M2 polarization. On whole, findings suggest that promotes reduces severity AP‑ALI regulating function through its level.
