ABSTRACT
Curcumin, a natural polyphenolic compound, has commonly been used as food additive or in many traditional medicine remedies for over 2,000 years Asian countries. Melatonin is hormone secreted from pineal glands of mammals and possesses diverse physiological functions. Both curcumin melatonin have the effective potential to inhibit proliferation various types cancers, but there no report on their combination bladder cancer treatment, underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. In present study, we investigated whether leads an enhanced inhibition cell cells. Our results showed that combinational treatment repression nuclear translocation NF-κB binding COX-2 promoter via inhibiting IKKβ activity, resulting expression. addition, combined with induced apoptosis through enhancing release cytochrome c mitochondrial intermembrane space into cytosol. These results, therefore, indicated synergized inhibitory effect against growth by anti-proliferation, anti-migration, pro-apoptotic activities, provide strong evidence might exhibit therapeutic option therapy.
