Mixed tumour of the skin of the lower lip: A case report and review of the literature

ABSTRACT
Mixed tumour of the skin or chondroid syringoma (CS) is a rare and mostly benign neoplasm sweat glands. Although CS frequently located on varied parts head neck region, lower lip rarely reported site. The present report describes case in 58-year-old male as an expository to further emphasise need for proper diagnosis, appropriate treatment prognostic evaluation. patient presented with round, non-tender, slightly hard mobile mass beneath mucocutaneous junction his left lateral side lip. Radiology revealed measuring 11x11x7 mm3 size at depth ~2 mm. Furthermore, magnetic resonance T1- T2-weighted images showed low high signal intensities, respectively. A provisional diagnosis was made, surgical excision biopsy taken under local anaesthesia, while considering patient's cosmetic appearance. Histopathology demonstrated features akin apocrine gland, myxoid stroma consistent CS. No evidence recurrence satellites were recorded after follow-up nearly 2 years. rare, index suspicion among other cutaneous adnexal tumours necessary. In addition, interprofessional collaboration management such oral could enhance satisfaction amid prevailing intraoral aesthetic concerns.
