ABSTRACT
Cognitive impairment is one of the primary features vascular dementia (VD). However, specific mechanism underlying regulation cognition function in VD not completely understood. The present study aimed to explore effects microRNA (miR)‑150 on VD. To determine miR‑150 cognitive and hippocampal neurons model rats, rats were subjected intracerebroventricular injections antagomiR. Morris water maze test results demonstrated that spatial learning ability was impaired compared with control rats. Moreover, antagomiR negative (NC), alleviated enhanced memory triphenyltetrazolium chloride, Nissl staining immunohistochemistry further knockdown improved activity NC group. validate role in vitro, PC12 cell line used. flow cytometry Hoechst 33342/PI double indicated overexpression significantly increased apoptosis mimic dual‑luciferase reporter gene assay targeted HOXA1 negatively regulated expression. Therefore, ameliorated symptoms by upregulating expression vivo vitro.
