ABSTRACT
Aberrant activation of the Wnt/β‑catenin signaling pathway plays a crucial role in development and progression colorectal cancer. Previously, we identified set candidate genes that were regulated by this pathway, present study focused on motile sperm domain containing 1 (<em>MOSPD1</em>). Immunohistochemical staining revealed expression MOSPD1 was elevated tumor cells from cancer tissues compared with non‑tumor cells. Using ChIP‑seq data JASPAR database, regulatory region(s) <em>MOSPD1</em> gene as target searched, region three putative TCF‑binding motifs 3'‑flanking identified. Additional analyses using reporter assay ChIP‑quantitative PCR suggested harbors enhancer activity through an interaction transcription factor 7 like 2 (TCF7L2) β‑catenin. In addition, chromatin conformation capture interacts promoter. These β‑catenin/TCF7L2 complex element located region. findings may be helpful for future studies regarding precise mechanisms MOSPD1.
