ABSTRACT
Due to its complex geological history and the emergence of various biogeographic regions, Philippines boasts an extraordinary array flora fauna. This unique combination has contributed country’s exceptional density terrestrial species, making it amongst highest in world. Mindanao, southern part Philippines, is second largest group islands supports high levels endemism proportion threatened species. However, consolidated biodiversity records information remain unavailable for region. The primary goal Mindanao Open Biodiversity Information (MOBIOS + ) database address these substantial data deficiencies by compiling contemporary from 21 st century. initiative seeks enhance our comprehension trends over temporal spatial dimensions, while also creating openly-accessible database. we present here first kind currently most comprehensive attempt establish biodiversity, based on publicly available literature. With vast collection data, this will prove be a valuable resource advancing research analysis. It further facilitate identification species areas that require immediate conservation prioritisation action, addressing urgent challenges posed rapidly changing planet. MOBIOS create massive FAIR aiming collate published literature faunal region, south Philippines. includes 12,813 georeferenced specimen occurrences representing 1,907 taxa across 10 animal classes inhabiting freshwater environments We made all Global Facility (GBIF) platform.
