ABSTRACT
Aryal’s Ten Avatar Groundhopper, Aryalidonta itishreea gen. et sp. nov. , named in honor of the late Bhairav Aryal, an iconic Nepali satirist, is a new genus and species Tetrigidae described as part tribe Thoradontini. The native to Nepal, country with rich tetrigid fauna need taxonomic revisions. This monotypic can be easily separated from other Thoradontini genera by its enlarged proximal halves middle femora, peculiar lateral lobe morphology (small caudal protrusion sharp tip), triangular, anteriorly narrowing vertex, unique head morphology. was observed natural habitat. It found harbor many color variations that are cryptic nature. feeds on detritus, algae, lichen, moss. Specimens heavily infested mites were found, well those interaction wasps (possibly Eulophidae), but nature latter could not determined.
