We compiled a checklist of the flora South and North Nandi forests based on literature, online databases, herbarium collections floristic field surveys. A combination general walk-over surveys plotless landscape sampling for plant collection sight observation was used. recorded 628 species representing 118 families 392 genera, which almost double latest results previous most recent survey. found 61 ferns fern allies 567 seed plants, 9.98% total in Kenya. Herbs were majority (50.2%) life forms followed by shrubs (16.5%). report unique populations three out 19 that are widespread Africa, but restricted to Kakamega Forests Four threatened globally 16 exotic found.
