ABSTRACT
This literature review aimed to identify the most efficient truck configurations used transport forest biomass and factors that affect their transportation efficiency. The analysed studies investigated various truck/trailer for transporting biomass. considered influenced efficiency such as material bulk density, moisture content, hauling distance, maximum permitted weight limits, payload capacities. Recent on biomass, configuration, productivity were determine of different fuel usage emissions. study reviewed identified was by variables including Larger trucks generally more due higher volume except in situations where road access difficult. reporting consumption emissions each configuration inconsistent across international studies. information presented this attempts summarise recent knowledge industry inform best practice cost-effective
