ABSTRACT
Cymbopogon citratus is one of the most common herbs used in folk medicine due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.Taking into account these properties showed on vitro assays, aim this study was evaluate analgesic activities C. leaves infusion (CcE) flavonoid-rich (CcF) tannin-rich (CcT) fractions. The evaluation activity performed carrageenan-induced rat paw oedema model. Both central peripheral were evaluated mice through hot plate test acetic acid-induced writhing test, respectively. In acute inflammation model, statistically significant results obtained percentage inhibition 70.80 82.30% for CcE (34.12 68.24 mg kgG , respectively), 59.00% CcF 1 (7.42 ), 61.00% CcT (5.96 ) 84.00% positive control group 1(10 ).For pain evaluation, a reduction 57.00% (136.48 54.60% (14.8 52.20% (11.92 83.00% group. This demonstrates that compounds are able reduce vivo, with polyphenols showing contribution activities.
