ABSTRACT
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of neurodevelopmental disorders whose symptoms include impaired communication and social interaction, stereotypies, varying levels intellectual disability. Together with these are co-occurring psychiatric or neurological conditions, often hyperactivity attention disorders, anxiety, depression, epilepsy. So far, no effective treatment for ASD available, possibly because its neurobiological basis heterogeneous nature not clearly understood. Clinical preclinical trials support the involvement endocannabinoid system in patho-physiology ASD.
