ABSTRACT
To compare the visual outcomes and complications after suture-assisted fibrin glue-assisted scleral fixated intraocular (IOL) implantation.Scleral IOL implantation was performed in patients with inadequate capsular support. Intraocular lens fixation achieved using sutures or glue. Main parameters evaluated were complications.Fifty included study (n=25 suture, n=25 glue). The most common indication for cataract surgery complicated posterior capsule rupture (29/50 [58%]). No significant differences noted between demographic characteristics, surgical indications, preoperative corrected distance acuity (CDVA) either group (P=.680). intraoperative related to encountered any case. At last follow-up (6 months), CDVA 20/40 better 88% 84% of suture glue groups, respectively. Postoperative inflammation (48% vs 16%) glaucoma (40% seen more frequently eyes as compared Overall, a significantly higher number (14/25 [56%]) (7/25 [28%]) (P=.045).Although similar at end 6 months that underwent suture- implantation, associated fewer complications.
