ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to evaluate early phase depression and anxiety in the proffessional athletes who underwent anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction compare them with functional improvement knee.Thirty-eight patients (35 males, 3 females; mean age±SD: 26.84±8.03) were included study. Measurements obtained immediately following operation at Week 6 postoperative rehabilitation. Depression symptoms evaluated by Hospital Anxiety Scale (HADS), knee function was Lysholm Knee Scoring (LKSS).Change total LKSS scores from time admission (56.4±20.2) end sixth week (78.7±13.8) significant (t=-8.21, p<0.001). Neither HADS nor above cutoff values 2 assessments. Significant difference noted between (6.21±3.50) (5.33±3.33) (t=2.02, p=0.05). However, not statistically different evaluations (5.95±3.68 5.35±3.50 week, respectively) (t=1.07, p=0.29). Changes assessments negatively correlated (r=-0.49, p=0.002), but there no correlation detected score changes.The decline signs rehabilitation indicate that proper positively affects emotional status ACL patients.
