ABSTRACT
We report on the method for picosecond pulse envelope shaping that is based temporal profile transformations during cascade second harmonic generation. It was demonstrated theoretically and experimentally under a particular generation condition, e. g. pump intensity crystal length, 1064 nm pulses with close to Gaussian one width of 75 ps at FWHM can be converted fundamental harmonics super-Gaussian having an plateau region extending over ~100 time interval when conversion efficiency in first stage generator around 45–50%. Our proposed particularly suitable application multistage OPCPA pumped by Nd:YAG laser radiation.
