Performance Evaluation of VM Placement Using Classical Bin Packing and Genetic Algorithm for Cloud Environment

ABSTRACT
In current era, the trend of cloud computing is increasing with every passing day due to one its dominant service i.e. Infrastructure as a (IAAS), which virtualizes hardware by creating multiple instances VMs on single physical machine. Virtualizing leads improvement resource utilization but it also makes system over utilized inefficient performance. Therefore, these need be migrated another machine using VM consolidation process in order reduce amount host machines and improve performance system. Thus, idea placing virtual some other hosts proposal many new algorithms placement. However, reduced set needs lesser power consumption therefore; work authors have presented decision making placement based genetic algorithm compared three predefined techniques classical bin packing. This analysis contributes better understand effects strategies overall environment how use delivers results for than packing algorithms.
