ABSTRACT
In complex emergency/disaster scenarios, persons from teams various emergency-response organizations collaborate to achieve a common goal. these the use of smart mobile devices and applications can improve collaboration dynamically. The lack basic interaction principles be dangerous, as it could increase level disaster or make efforts ineffective. This paper examines main results project WORKPAD finished in December 2009. worked on two-level architecture support rescue operators during emergency management. user-centered design methodology entire development cycle has guaranteed that resulting system meet end-user requirements. feasibility its real emergencies is also proven by demonstration showcased with operators. includes qualitative quantitative presents guidelines useful developing emergency-management systems.
