ABSTRACT
In this paper, we explore the methodological and epistemological implications of conducting feminist projects in management information systems (MIS) research. These revolve around four core themes: that research is situated margins, current gender MIS not adequately problematized, questions legitimacy appropriateness positivist research, reflection on personal characteristics researcher such as race, gender, sexuality, class can inform We propose three criteria for giving voice to research: (a) challenging hegemonic dominance, legitimacy, epistemologies, (b) theorizing from (c) problematizing gender.
