The present study had the purpose of analysing morphological and quantitative characteristics neurons myenteric plexus stomach rats. Samples corpus were subjected to whole-mount preparations stained with NADH-diaphorase histological sections Hematoxilin-Eosin. It was verified that, on rats, muscular tunica shows two well defined layers, circular longitudinal, while oblique fibers are rare. located between these which makes their evidencing easier in this region. observed that near small gastric curvature neuronal density is significantly larger than large curvature.
