ABSTRACT
The effects of different light quality treatments on in vitro growth and multiplication sugarcane (RB867515) were investigated. plantlets cultivated MS medium containing 1.3 μM 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP), exposed to five treatments: three combinations blue/red LED (70:30, 50:50, 30:70), white-LED fluorescent lamps, during 24 days. Among the treatments, combination 50:50 proportions proved have best results for stem length, fresh mass, leaf number shoot multiplication. Higher content photosynthetic pigments was also obtained with LEDs. Results suggested that emitted by LEDs suitable plant development it may be used as alternative economic source micropropagation variety under analysis.
