ABSTRACT
Spodoptera litura is an agricultural pest that attacks almost all types of herbaceous plants, especially vegetable commodities. causes serious damage during the immature or larval stage. The attack larvae can cause significant losses to farmers. To deal with these pests, they still use chemicals have a negative effect on environment. Therefore, good solution required by utilizing biological agents control insect pests. It alternative strategy more environmentally friendly than chemical pesticides. Research biocontrol as for pests being pursued, one which entomopathogenic microorganisms. Biological using bacteria effective and compared synthetic insecticides. This study aims determine mortality rate from organic waste against pathogenic activity after treatment. begins observations log phase bacterial growth culturing bacteria. tested cultures were grown nutrient broth media so observed counted hemocytometer method contact time. next step was make liquid sterilize autoclave at 121°C 15 minutes. Prepare coconut water 10% molasses be contacted between substrate collected Keputran Market Surabaya - Indonesia every day. treated biopesticide mustard greens once t = 0 hours rates 4 hours, 24 48 72 hours. results showed best variable in % consortium Bacillus thuringiensis, cereus, Pseudomonas fluorescens , community Sidoarjo mud mixture pathogenicity value LT50 22 100%.
