ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of concave shoulder angle FSW tool on heat generation rate and temperature simulation results. The used in this is with straight cylindrical geometry, tapered cylinder, hexagonal, square. Calculation carried out for all tools, then optimal one selected simulated. process calculating using Taguchi method has 4 factors, each which levels. factors are rotation speed, welding angle, tilt response. weld joint. results indicate that influence very influential. Based calculation, hexagonal pin geometry was chosen be show parameters speed 1208 rpm, 90 mm/s, 5°, 3°. From parameters, it experimented produce a fairly good connection even though there were still surface defects.
