ABSTRACT
Based on the methods including modified Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion, Lagrange and smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH), digging shovel - stem root soil system dynamics simulation model is established by ANSYS/ LS-DYNA. According to model, interaction mechanisms among shovel, are discovered, processes of shearing changing root's stress analyzed. The shovel's loosening discovered. process deformation, fracture micro level studied. results show that (1) main reasons for in operation wedge bended due being squeezed uplifted, sheared broken direction wedge's normal, has no supporting blade so a lot fractures appear separated blade, upper lower can't be closed; (2) when extrusion attains certain value, links will destroyed; (3) value around largest, rupture develops from bottom top, surface occurs widest place normal; (4) blade's tail points at root, effective largest makes bending deformation forward upward meantime, too large, harvest lost.
