ABSTRACT
Characterized by light weight and high strength, cold-drawn galvanized cable wires are widely applied in all kinds of prestressed structures structures. Investigation shows that cables sensitive to corrosion. Severe corrosion results replacement which costly, even more, collapse the whole bridge. In this paper, several tests were carried out present crack growth wire stress different solutions. particular, as Cl-, OH-, SO42- NH4+ have major effect on seawater acid rain, these four ions selected tests. And corrosive solutions tested with concentration 1.5 bsp 3 respectively. Effects ultimate tensile strength sensitivity for each chosen ions, increasing same solution would drop modulus wires.
