ABSTRACT
This paper study the effect of calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ) nanoparticleson mechanical and physical properties virgin waste polypropylene (pp . ). 3, 5, 7 10 (wt. %) CaCO nanoparticles are mixed with each pp These mixture blended in co-rotating twin screw extruder at 190 °Cand different speed (25 50 rpm). Different technique used to evaluate characteristics polymer nanocomposites ex: Tensile strength , elastic modulus impact hardness density. The results pp./(CaCO showed that tensile decreasing nano(CaCO concentration for pp. while increasing 5% then gradually. nanoCaCO increasing. density two type pp.Nearly all were found increase processing 25 rpm. In this studies, it was seen highest rpm does not give material performance enhancements due higher shear intensity which causes defect points structure. Also time is smaller high speeds, so there enough good dispersion occur.
