ABSTRACT
Near-monodisperse Pd and PdCo nanoclusters were synthesized by physical vapor deposition using a plasma-gas-condensation cluster system tested for catalyzing formic acid oxidation. Under the condition of high vacuum inert gas, NCs with clean surface uniform size obtained. The cyclic voltammetry tests revealed that electrochemical area was increased from 49.7 m 2 g -1 to 51.7 peak current density FAO raised 0.115 mA cm -2 0.125 when about 12 wt . % Co element added. Additionally, tolerance CO poisoning could also be improved addition Co. result indicated this method offered chemical-free way prepare efficient Pd-based nanoscale catalytics encouraged deeper exploration electrochemichal catalytic reactions.
