ABSTRACT
With the rapid development of micro systems technology and microelectronics, smart implantable wireless electronic are emerging for continuous surveillance relevant parameters in body even closed-loop with a sensor feed-back to drug release systems. respect diabetes management, there is critical societal need fully integrated array that can be used continuously measure patient’s blood glucose concentration, pH, pCO2 colloid oncotic pressure twenty four hours day on long-term basis. In this work, thin films metabolite-specific or “smart” hydrogels were combined microfabricated piezoresistive transducers obtain “chemomechanical sensors” serve as selective versatile biomedical sensors arrays monitoring several metabolites. Sensor response time accuracy which track gradual changes glucose, CO2 ionic strength, respectively, was estimated vitro using simulated physiological solutions. The biocompatibility hermeticity developed multilayer encapsulation microsensor has been investigated concerning stability enduring functionality desired permanent implants.
