ABSTRACT
The ability to manufacture accurate parts in single point incremental forming is dependent on the capability properly predict accuracy response surfaces of individual features and feature interaction combinations formed using uncompensated tool paths. Recent studies show that profiles obtained are choice material used for forming, terms magnitude, geometric shape nature errors (under over forming). In this paper, an attempt made capture effect properties surfaces. modeled Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MARS), which a non-parametric multivariate regression technique helps generating continuous MARS functions based process specific parameters. A set interactions surface dependence well predicted illustrate applicability method predicting accuracy. An in-process stereo camera system measure displacement fields different materials digital image correlation (DIC) understand dislocation mechanism. Improvements sheet metal then discussed.
