Nowadays achieving overall sustainability in industrial activities is the natural consequence of diminishing non-renewable resources and stricter regulations related to environment occupational safety/health.In sector, CO 2 emissions derive both from direct indirect emissions. The second type due use electricity currently represents more than thirty percent global amount. For this reason energy consumption reduction critical aspect several environments. Power possible by modifying manufacturing conditions, utilizing alternative technologies increasing resource utilization rate.The current market demand characterized request small lots with different characteristics, which requires a complex management production flow.Production planning scheduling models, arising flexible environments, allows combine aspects such as: technological questions (e.g.: minimize times costs) economic criteria maximize rate) environmental prospective reduction).
