ABSTRACT
Due to its excellent chemical stability, high temperature resistance and mechanical properties, alumina porous ceramic was the first choice of production microfiltration membrane support body material. In this paper, prepared by as main materials adding proper amount adhesives sintering additives. Effects kinds addition pore formers, such starch, graphite carbon-black, on properties studied. The porosity fired samples evaluated Archimedes law. were characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM), compressive strength mercury porosimeter measurements. Alumina composition mixing 100% with different particle size 8 % former. sample pressured at 10 MPa 1650 °C for 2 h, endowed 6-8 μm average diameter, 37.65 40.33 strength, respectively. influence law former performance studied application in micro-filtration mmembrane supports.
