ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the flow, thermal and mechanical properties of waste polypropylene (WPP) reinforced with silica (SiO 2 ) nanoparticles (NPs). Recently researches prove that addition NPs to thermoplastic polymer produces significant change in its properties. SiO 0.001, 0.003, 0.006, 0.009, 0.012 0.015wt% were mixed WPP using twin screw extruder. The mixing process performed at 10 rpm 190°C. topography particle size distribution 0.006 0.015 concentrations samples are analyzed atomic force microscopy (AFM). crystallinity nanocomposite was examined by X-ray diffraction. melt flow rate (MFR) volume (MVR) tested due concentration standard condition index (MFI) device. shear viscosity density calculated MFR MVR values. Differential Scanning Calomitry (DSC) is used show effect on history nanocomposite. Charpy impact strength hardness tested. results increase increasing. decreases level temperature increasing while Clear difference between solid observed. There a compatible thermal, different samples.
