ABSTRACT
Haemonchus contortus is gastrointestinal nematodes naturally bloodsucking the host and causing haemonchosis . To date, prevention treatment of rely on chemically anti-parasitic drugs. However, resistant to drug have been found in many previous studies. Therefore, study evaluation total mixed ration (TMR) containing high protein content forage with condensed tannin (CT) bio-anthelmintic potential should be justified further. The aims evaluate performance its effect TMR towards H. infection sheep. Twenty sheep (± 1-year-old) average body weight 20 kg had randomly categorized into 5 treatments ( n =4): T.1: Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott 761.50 g DM; T.2: P. 609.20 DM+ Artocarpus heterophyllus 284.13 T.3: Soybean meal (SBM) 65 T.4: A. 162.36 DM+SBM 65.00 T.5: 284.14 DM. diet was provided at 08:00 16:00, while water ad libitum results showed that feeding anthelmintic agents (TMR PTAA) reduced fecal egg counts by improving dry matter (DM), organic (OM), crude (CP), extract ether (EE), fiber (CF), nitrogen free-extract (NFE) consumption digestibility (P<0.05). It can concluded PTAA positive effects potentiality alternate commercial
