ABSTRACT
<strong>Introduction: </strong>Sri Lanka has initiated ART programme in 2004. By the end of 2014 a total 825 patients were receiving care services with 481 at HIV clinic, Colombo. Based on WHO consolidated guidelines published 2013 guideline was updated 2014. It decided to determine response among PLHIV managed according new guideline. The objective study adult attending NSACP. <strong>Methods: </strong>A clinic based prospective carried out main STD/HIV Colombo assess clinical and laboratory ART. All who started from 1st November 31st October 2015 included followed up till 2016. Data collected using interviewer administered questionnaire by trained medical officers. Laboratory data other relevant information extracted patient records. Ethical clearance obtained. <strong>Results: 95 during this period. Majority (74%) males median age 38 years. Among 35.1% 24% females stage 3 or 4 time presentation. TB commonest OI (10%) PCP (9%). due CD4 count< 500 cells/μl (77%), key populations (6%) for PMTCT (5%). regimen had be substituted 7%. Adherence satisfactory (88%) (89%). Most TDF+FTC+EFV (67%) group experienced least side effects. Quality life improved 95%. count increased while viral load <1000 copies/ml 96% those adherence (n=76). <strong>Conclusion: </strong>Most clinical, immunological virological satisfactory. Poor need further analyzed. Fixed dose combination preferred first line well tolerated PLHIV.
