ABSTRACT
Acute pancreatitis is a systemic inflammatory condition carrying significant morbidity and mortality. Garcinia cambogia (GC) has been recently deduced as rare cause of this condition.A 22-year-old female presented with epigastric pain, nausea unrest. Her amylase was elevated had high markers. CECT abdomen revealed necrotizing acute pancreatitis. After receiving in-hospital care for two weeks, she made complete recovery. She consumed large doses GC weight loss supplement several months preceding. excluding other causes pancreatitis, identified the possible cause.Acute due to entity only handful cases reported. Large are thought induce oxidative damage in pancreas causing inflammation. Current evidence its causal nature based on history deduction only. Further research needed confirm
