ABSTRACT
Abstract Polyclonal T cell lines specific for EBV proteins have proved efficient in preventing EBV-related immunoblastic lymphoma after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. To gain insight into the composition of EBV-specific repertoire that ensured patient protection, we performed first time an extensive characterization eight cytotoxic selected vitro against EBV-transformed autologous lymphoblastoid (BLCL). These consist 50–100 distinct clones, which 32–96% are BLCL. Moreover, demonstrate reactivities only five (BZLF1, BMLF1, EBNA-3A, EBNA-3C, and LMP2) cover 86% (32/37) specificities detected. In addition, describe improved method harvesting using a CD25 selection procedure reduces required to obtain cells improves purity cells, thus showing promise use adoptive transfer protocols.
