ABSTRACT
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the treatment results and complications in unstable distal clavicle fractures which were treated with a Hook plate, and, particular, compare functional before after removal plate. Materials Methods: We examined 20 cases patients who underwent plates bony union was obtained an fracture (Neer type II) from March 2009 December 2012. average follow-up period initial surgery 12 months (8-20 months). Plates removed at 18 weeks (ranged 10-36 weeks) fixation. University California Los Angeles (UCLA) Korean Shoulder Scoring System (KSS) scores used for clinical evaluation, plain radiographs radiological evaluation. Results: In 11.4 8-14 all patients. All showed limited range motion, mild pain, discomfort shoulder better UCLA KSS score when compared removal.
