ABSTRACT
Among the secondary metabolites of pharmacological, chemical and biotechnological interest, triterpenoidal compounds are widely distributed throughout fungi kingdom.Triterpenoids produced by species genus Pleurotus, basidiomycetes characterized their important biological actions excellent nutritional quality, can be obtained fermentation processes that stimulate production bioactive compounds. This study evaluates effect using 12 non-conventional carbon sources (CS) on triterpenoids from 3 Pleurotus species: P. ostreatus, djamor pulmonarius in submerged culture. The variations found among these with regard to quantities structural differences were dependent CS as well species, it was concluded cultivation mycelium wheat bran promotes interest. In addition no direct influence C/N ratio substrate biosynthesis observed, reported case other such polysaccharides statins.
