No clinical predictors of intraepithelial neoplasia in HIV-positive patients with external condilomata acuminata

ABSTRACT
To identify clinical parameters in association with human papilloma virus (HPV) genotypes and histopathology diagnosis HIV-positive patients external condylomata acuminata (ECA), 400 Chilean were included the study. Forty-seven presented ECA. Clinical socio demographic data recorded. Histopathology study HPV linear array genotyping assay performed. Intraepithelial neoplasia (IEN) grade 2 or 3 was found 8.5% of patients, associated to HPV-16. Patients mainly single, MSM, history sexually transmitted disease (STD), multiple sexual partners, receiving antiretroviral therapy recurrent lesions. All ECA perianal, grey pink colored, exophytic less than two years evolution. No parameter could predict development high IEN HIV It seems necessary perform biopsy genotype all positive
