ABSTRACT
Interstitial capillary congestion and diffuse alveolar damage (DAD) were frequently observed in patients who died from Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19). The research question pertains to observing these findings COVID-19-positive lacking pulmonary symptoms. histological examination of lung samples do not succumb COVID-19-related complications can provide an answer. This study analyzed postmortem autopsy individuals did complications. article aimed examine the morphological variations COVID-19 disease, compare changes with those cases deaths, utilizing existing English literature. prospective included subjects without injuries, had positive real-time polymerase chain reaction throat swabs, exhibited no manifestation disease. A comprehensive histomorphological analysis was conducted. total 20 enrolled this study. Capillary most prevalent change autopsies, seen 90% (18/20) cases, followed by emphysema 75% (15/20) acute phase DAD 25% (5/20) cases. Acute bronchopneumonia fibrotic nodules identified 20% (4/20) 10% (2/20) population, respectively. In symptomatic issues, congestion, destruction, prevalent. indicate that exhibits varied responses inflammation correlate mortality. enhances understanding pathophysiological tissue have non-COVID-19-related potentially educating forensic pathologists supporting future endeavors.
