ABSTRACT
Abstract Introduction: The objectives of this study were to assess the level pre- and post-operative education received by paediatric surgery patients their caregivers in Saudi Arabia examine association between outcomes patients. Furthermore, our aimed explore factors influencing effectiveness improving patient propose recommendations for optimising programmes Arabia. Methodology: To achieve objectives, a cross-sectional survey was conducted multiple hospitals on convenience sample caregivers. data collected through structured interviews questionnaires assessing education, satisfaction. Statistical analysis using SPSS 28.0. relationships variables explored linear regression, establishing associations pre-operative outcomes. Multivariate regression examined education. Results: included 1170 participants from various demographic backgrounds age distribution as follows: 18–24 years (18.7%), 25–34 (8.4%), 35–44 (29.0%), 45–64 (36.4%), 65 (3.7%) under 18 (0.9%). gender nearly balanced with 45.8% females 51.4% males. majority held bachelor’s degree (55.1%). (82.2%) lived urban areas. This found positive comprehensive improved outcomes, including reduced complications higher satisfaction scores. Pre-operative played significant role alleviating concerns or fears about (86.9%) helping understand child’s recovery process (86.9%).
