Assessing Patient Satisfaction and Quality of Life Outcomes Following Plastic Surgery Procedures in Saudi Arabia: A Cross-sectional Study

ABSTRACT
Abstract Introduction: Plastic surgery has gained significant popularity and acceptance in Saudi Arabia recent years. It is a rapidly growing field, driven by numerous factors such as societal influences, cultural norms, media exposure the desire for enhanced physical appearances. While there demand plastic procedures, scarcity of research investigating demographic characteristics patients who undergo these their satisfaction levels impact on quality life. The objectives this study are first to investigate patient level life outcomes individuals undergoing Arabia. Second, aims explore physicians’ perspectives its influencing factors. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted from June August 2023 including total 1107 participants. Five hundred twenty-seven underwent procedures completed comprehensive questionnaire consisting data validated Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire Quality Life Scale. In parallel, separate amongst 527 physicians during same period examining correlation between outcomes, well that influence relationship. Furthermore, literature review gather existing inform findings. Results: responses indicated predominantly young female population with diverse educational backgrounds, primarily having bachelor’s degree. majority participants expressed overall outcome accounting 76.8%, 46% them reported improvement appearance. substantial proportion 87% did not experience any post-operative complications. Participants’ yielded mean score 3.75 (standard deviation = 0.975) positive statistically outcomes. perspective revealed consensus association life, many acknowledging effects higher psychological well-being, self-esteem body image. type procedure duration recovery were identified 81% satisfaction.
