ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Background: This study aimed to assess the effect of hydroalcoholic extract whole pomegranate fruit on Streptococcus mutans ( S. ) and Lactobacillus acidophilus L. its clinical dental plaque formation in 8–10-year-old children. Materials Methods: was conducted two phases vitro trial. In phase, antibacterial 50%–50% assessed by disc diffusion test. double-blind cross-over trial 14 children between 8 10 years were randomly assigned groups 38% mouthwash 0.12% chlorhexidine (CHX) after assessing their baseline oral hygiene index-simplified (OHI-S).
