ABSTRACT
Background: Both mini-laparoscopic surgery and single-incision laparoscopic are feasible safe alternatives to conventional multi-incision surgery. Materials Methods: Fifty-one cholecystectomies (CSILCs) 34 mini-single-incision (MSILCs) were performed by a single surgeon for uncomplicated diseases. Compared with 2-cm paraumbilical incision in CSILC, the MSILC was 1.2 cm length. Results: In CSILC period, all procedures successfully except one (2.2%). 6 (15%) CSILCs (85%) MSILCs scheduled. All former successful, whereas three converted CSILCs. Fewer patients needed more than two pethidine doses, accumulated dosage lower period compared (2 [5.0%] vs. 11 [24.4%] 0.595 ± 0.505 mg/kg 0.936 0.912 mg/kg, P < 0.05). The complication rates 2.2% 2.5% periods, respectively (Clavien–Dindo Grade I). Conclusion: can be safely has advantages of reduced postoperative pain faster recovery but potentially increases operative time. Careful patient selection low threshold conversion is obligatory.
