ABSTRACT
Teratomas are tumors that contain tissues derived from three different germ cell layers and having a wider range of differentiation with site age at presentation. The aim the present study was to know frequency teratomas in various sites analyze their clinicomorphological features.The is retrospective conducted tertiary care hospital Central India. All cases diagnosed as teratoma period 8 years were included studied reference age, sex, site, size, gross, microscopic features.A total 92 retrieved. most common ovarian (78.26%) followed by intracranial/intraspinal sacrococcygeal 7.61% each. Out cases, 89 mature benign, 2 immature each ovary sacrococcyx, 1 case teratocarcinoma testis.Teratomas have much diversity presentation, location, gross features, degree differentiation. prognosis treatment also depends on histological grading teratomas. Thus, pathologists an important role establishing reliable prognostic profile.
