ABSTRACT
Heart failure (HF) is emerging as a major health problem in India. The profile of HF India divergent from elsewhere the world. While cardiologists must equip themselves with requisite clinical management tools, scientists and policymakers would need epidemiological data on information resources required to meet challenges ahead. aim this study was identify lacunae suggest recommendations improve research.We surveyed multidisciplinary group experts using two stage process. An email-based survey conducted structured questionnaire, followed by an online discussion. prioritized convergence research inter-rater agreement values were calculated. In addition, they enlisted potential gaps barriers domains epidemiology, diagnostics, technology suggested overcome those barriers.The identified paucity burden, lack state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities trained personnel, overt dependence imported devices/equipment/reagents, interaction/awareness/information among stakeholders biobanks, research. Three fourths agreed that interaction challenge highest both stages (19 out 25 11 17, respectively). recommended creation taskforces dedicated population sciences, development patient short-, intermediate- long-term strategies.The generated wish list for advances management, proposed facilitating way forward reduce burden
