ABSTRACT
Purpose: The aim of this study was to describe the clinical features, course, and outcomes eyes with cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis in immunosuppressed patients different etiologies. Methods: This a retrospective observational from single ophthalmic tertiary care center. included referrals nodal cancer center local human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) treatment clinic. Demographics, history, visual acuity, ocular protocol, final outcome who were diagnosed CMV period five years 2014 2019 studied. Results: 25 14 patients. Age ranged 11–54 years. Ten (71.43%) male four (29.57%) female. Eight them had acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), suffering HIV infection one patient each lymphoma history kidney transplant. for two sixty weeks depending on disease activity systemic condition. Three maintenance therapy ALL at time reactivation. Conclusion: Duration longer as compared other etiologies, recurrences, it needed be continued till completion ALL. It is prudent advise regular screening all immunocompromised patients, they are high risk developing retinitis. Patients ALL, especially while therapy, should monitored possible development or reactivation
