ABSTRACT
A 12-year-old girl presented with decreased vision in OS since early childhood. OD was normal. revealed best-corrected visual acuity of hand movements −9.0 diopters sphere, large exotropia, and posterior subcapsular cataract nasally [Fig. 1a]. Fundus 1b] showed extensive myelinated retinal nerve fibers (MRNFs) persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous (PHPV) the form a fibrous stalk extending from optic disc to lens. Interestingly, while MRNFs are associated axial myopia, PHPV is smaller globe.[123] This patient had length 21.84 mm 24.85 OS. The parents were apprised prognosis. Although both MRNF well-known anomalies isolation, best our knowledge, combined association has not been documented literature till date. Also, there very few case reports describing normal/longer PHPV.[4]Figure 1: (a) Slit lamp photograph left eye female showing nasally.
