ABSTRACT
To compare the outcomes of iStent vs. inject implantation combined with phacoemulsification. This single center retrospective comparative case series included subjects open angle glaucoma who underwent or phacoemulsification ≥1 year follow-up. The main outcome measures were in-group and between-group changes in intraocular pressure (IOP) medication number, proportion eyes that achieved IOP ≤15 mmHg, surgical success defined as 20% reduction from baseline at 6/12 months. Univariate/multivariate regression analyses done to identify predictors failure. One hundred ninety-seven 148 patients (122 iStent, 75 inject). Both groups significant months (P < 0.05). At month 6, was significantly lower = 0.003), but difference insignificant by 12 0.172). Medication number comparable both > More mmHg 6 0.003) 0.047). Surgical Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed similar cumulative rate failure year-1 0.644). multivariate model identified older age 0.017) 0.002) strongest failure.Compared higher 6/12. However, groups. Predictors rather than stent type.
