ABSTRACT
To compare the commonly used formulas for intraocular lens (IOL) selection using IOLMaster®700 (Carl Zeiss Meditec) and to evaluate Barrett Universal II (BU-II) formula accuracy when Vivinex™ iSert® XY1 IOL (Hoya Corporation Medical Division).A retrospective chart review was performed that included patients who underwent uneventful cataract surgery with in-the-bag insertion of IOL. Prediction errors at 3 months postoperative IOLMaster® 700 Haigis, Holladay 1, SRK/T, BU-II were compared. As a subgroup analysis, we focused on axial length (AL) power. AL analysis based following subgroups: short (<22.5 mm), medium (22.5-25.5 long (>25.5 mm). power low (≤18.0 diopters [D]), (18.5-24.0 D), high (≥24.5 D).This study 590 eyes patients. Overall, four calculation appeared be similarly accurate. In subgroup, had significantly lower absolute error (AE) than 1 formula. low-power AE SRK/T formulas. On other hand, in high-power BU-Ⅱ less accurate also worse (P = 0.052).The might 24.5 D or greater.
