Problems and challenges in providing feedback to clinical teachers on their educational performance: A mixed-methods study

ABSTRACT
Given the importance of feedback to improve teachers' educational performance, current study aimed identify challenges and problems involved in providing clinical teachers on their performance.In first phase this mixed-methods study, teachers, students, university officials were interviewed challenges. After an inductive content analysis, based enlisted, a ten-item questionnaire was developed. Subsequently, 25 completed by scoring urgency each problem.Overall, 18 individual group interviews conducted with 24 people. A total ten themes five categories emerged, including "lack transparency system," "absence criticizability culture," motivation performance," "failure consider factors affecting teacher's formative evaluation," "inappropriate data obtained providers," recipients," provision," "no follow-up." Three items priority data," performance."All raised high scores; nevertheless, interviewees had more provider, collected inattention influencing performance than presentation methods. Hence, gaining trust data, trustworthy individuals, paying attention are associated increased possibility acceptance.
